It needs to be accommodated

After collecting aspirations, Jakarta DPRD Commission E Chairman, Muhammad Thamrin instructed the Jakarta Provincial Government to re-map some religious teachers and assistant teachers, as well as their budget capacity and legal protection.

According to him, the aspirations expressed by the teachers would find the best solution. One of them was through the allocation of grant funds.

"I think this grant fund is enough, so we can propose it. If not, we will do it next year or in the Revised APBD," he explained.

He asserted that those religious teachers must also be noticed, as they also help educate the nation's children and contribute to improving the morality of the nation's generation.

"They also teach about tolerance. It needs to be accommodated," he added.

Commission E Legislator, Oman Rohman Rakinda also agreed that the Jakarta Government needed to conduct mapping for solutions needed by religious teachers and assistant teachers.

"Do it professionally for solutions," he stressed.

He added Commission E would wait for the results of the analysis and mapping of the need for religious teachers from the Jakarta Government. "It must also consider the budget capacity to accommodate the requests of religious teachers and assistant teachers," he added.

Buddhist Religious Teachers Representative from FKGA, Sutono expressed his hope that religious teachers appointed by the Religion Ministry (Kemenag) and assigned to schools under the Education Agency (Disdik) could be transferred to become teachers under the Jakarta Government.

"Surely, besides welfare, we also want there to be attention regarding career development," he closed.
