Jakarta Bina Marga Agency is about to construct three pedestrian bridges this year. Those three bridges are constructed based on local wisdom in each areas.

Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head, Heru Suwondo, said the bridges will have their own designs.
"The plan is in line with Jakarta's vision to provide aesthetic and reflecting local identity public facilities," he said, Monday (1/6).

The priority is focused on facilities such as lifts, CCTV, and safe and comfortable design.
"Bridges to be built must accommodate community's needs and highlight local characteristic," he added.
The construction of the bridges are targeted to complete in the end of 2025.
Three pedestrian bridges to be built are as follows;
1. Perintis Kemerdekaan Bridge. Bridge's theme is industrial to reflect Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan that is popular with mobility and industry center.
2. Jatiwaringin Bridge (Naga Swalayan). Bridge's design adopts an areca nut tree or areca nut lead. It is inspired by the bridge location in Cipinang Melayu Urban Village.
3. Pesanggrahan Bridge. The betta fish theme will be applied for the bridge design. It reflects the cultural icon of West Jakarta that is also known for its ornamental fish cultivation.
