The Jakarta City administration quickly rescued and secured fire survivors on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol, RW 04, Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

"We have set up two evacuation posts and distributed logistical aid, assistance, and counseling, as well as health posts for fire survivors at RW 04 Kebon Kosong," expressed City Secretary Government Assistant, Sigit Widjatmoko, during the Jakarta Update Edition 2 event, at Jakarta City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (1/22).

His party was also preparing an open dialogue with RW 04 Kebon Kosong residents. "The government offers ways to have decent housing, but this is up to the residents," he explained.

Development and Environment Assistant Afan Adriansyah explained that the administration handled the survivors, and the Social Ministry took over handling residents affected by the fire.

"The land owner, namely the Kemayoran area manager under the State Secretariat, also secures assets," he explained.

He added the administration was also preparing an open dialogue with fire survivors regarding relocation to nearby flats.

"We offer several spots but residents tend to want those close to the original location. We have the Wisma Atlet Flats at Danau Sunter, which are being renovated. If they are interested and the renovation process is complete, this can also address the problem of dense settlements and slums in Kemayoran," he uttered.
