East Jakarta Stocks 5,000 Fish Seeds in Koco Retention Basin

East Jakarta Food Security, Marine, and Agriculture (KPKP) Sub-agency stocks 5,000 tilapia fish seeds in Koco Retention Basin, Setu Urban Village, Cipayung.

"Please feel free to consume the fish that we have stocked,"

According to East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Taufik Yulianto, fish seed stocking was carried out by East Jakarta Acting Mayor, Iin Mutmainah, on Tuesday (1/21) evening after the inauguration of Setu Biru Park by Jakarta Acting Governor, Teguh Setyabudi.

Later, he added, the fish in this retention basin can be enjoyed by local residents to help fulfilling the needs of nutritious food.

"Please feel free to consume the fish that we have stocked. But, the fish can only be caught after six months," he stated.

He explained, all fish seed stocked in this retention basin were from Ciracas Fish Seed Center managed by Jakarta KPKP Agency.

For information, the retention basin which was built by East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has an area of around 2,934.72 square meters with a capacity up to 1,553 cubic meters.

Located in Setu Biru Park with a total area of 4,200 square meters, this retention basin was built to overcome inundation in RT 04, 05, 06, 07, and 08 RW 04, Setu.
