Jakarta City Council Commission A Vice Chairperson, Alia Noorayu Laksono, appreciated the Layanan dengan Kasih Sayang (LAKSA) Betawi program (Love with Care Service) as a door-to-door population administration service (Adminduk) for persons with disabilities, the elderly, and people with mental disorders (ODGJ).
We appreciate the LAKSA Betawi program
"We appreciate the LAKSA Betawi program, which facilitates access to population administration for vulnerable groups through a door-to-door mechanism in the issuance of population documents," she expressed, Thursday (2/6).
According to her, the program run by Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Agency (Dukcapil) is very effective and convenient. This door-to-door mechanism is very helpful in overcoming the mobility challenges often faced by those in need of services.

The ease of registration access through QR Code and online links also adds value that facilitates residents in accessing this service.
"This service needs to be improved so that it can be broader and reach more residents in need," she explained.
She suggested that its implementation could be realized through collaboration with community health centers and social services, especially in reaching out to individuals with mental disorders who require special attention in the data recording process.
"Using digital technology to make the application and recording process faster and more transparent. Provide a dedicated hotline so that families of persons with disabilities, the elderly, or individuals with mental health issues can more easily access information and request door-to-door services," she continued.
She hoped that the understanding and skills of officers in serving vulnerable groups could continue to be improved. They must have a good understanding of the specific needs of persons with disabilities, the elderly, and people with mental disorders.
"Can collaborate with experts in the fields of disability and psychology, thus they have good communication skills in dealing with people with disabilities and individuals with mental disorders," she added.
She also mentioned the need for the presence of special assistants from family members or social workers to help with the civil registration process for people with mental disabilities or disabilities who require additional assistance.
"Conduct regular evaluations of service satisfaction to provide feedback for program improvement," sh
e uttered.
