On that occasion, he also revealed that he had noted several issues during his inspection of MRT and Transjakarta facilities, including the chaotic parking area for motor vehicles in Pasar Jumat. In order to address this, his party plans to make improvements in the area starting March.
"We will also build a seven-story parking area in the location (Pasar Jumat) to accommodate residents from South Tangerang and Tangerang, so they can go to Jakarta by leaving their private vehicles behind. Simply park in the provided parking facility and continue their trip using MRT," he mentioned.
He also praised Blok M MRT Station connected to Plaza Blok M, South Jakarta, which had a positive impact, notably a four-fold increase in mall visitors. According to him, this shows that the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) system greatly benefits Jakartans.
"I've also instructed prioritizing internal improvements such as fizing card tapping machine malfunctions and ensuring availability of elevators for disabled persons. I'm not worried, as there is a master plan in place for future improvements," he added.
