Residents Appreciate Jakarta Provincial Government's Free Homecoming Program

Residents appreciate the Jakarta Provincial Government's Free Homecoming Program. They assessed that the program is able to minimize the cost to celebrate Eid ul Fitr in their hometown.

One of a resident living in Cakung, Buninto (55), admitted happy and appreciated the program.

"We are helped with the program. So we do not need to ride our motorcycle to go to our hometown. It is more risky," he said, while verifying the data at East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Office, Tuesday (3/11).

He will to go to his hometown in Kebumen, Central Java with his family on March 27 according to the schedule.

"Hopefully the program can be held every year since it gives us benefits," he admitted.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Transportation's Road Transport Section Head, Fajar Nugrahaini, explained the online registration has been opened since March 7, 2025.

"Second cluster verification is run today. The first cluster verification was run on March 8-10. Then the third cluster verification to be run on March 14-16," he explained.

Residents who register the program must bring their ID card and Family Card for verification process.

"There were 392 people have been verified on Saturday. And today up to 11 AM were 80 people. One person can represent three up to four people for verification process," he stated.
