900 Children Enliven Hardiknas Event in North Jakarta

The North Jakarta Indonesian Kindergarten Teachers Association–Indonesian Teachers Association (IGTKI-PGRI) organized the National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2025 commemorating event.

Held at West Plaza of North Jakarta Mayor's Office, this event was attended by at least 900 children along with their companions.

"This is our regular event, participated by 900 kindergarten students and 100 teachers from North Jakarta," she explained, on Thursday (5/15).
Eny explained, from a total of six competitions held, there were two competitions for teachers and four competitions for children. The teacher competitions included information technology (IT)-based learning and rhythmic gymnastics using equipment.
"Meanwhile, the four children competitions included a recycling carnival, creativity using recycled materials, role-playing demonstrations, and gymnastics," she mentioned.
According to her, each child received guidance from their teachers to participate in competitions aligned to their interests and talents. This event is expected to have a positive impact, particularly in developing characters and potentials of early childhood learners.
"Furthermore, we want this event to motivate teachers to continue being creative and growing," she asserted.
On the other hand, Ratih, a teacher from Hope for Kids Kindergarten in Penjaringan, shared her excitement that her school could participate in this event. Her school sent 20 children to take part in the Lomba Senam Bugar Ceria.
"This event is very enjoyable. It is not only provides valuable experience, but also helps build resilience while waiting for their turn to perform," she said.
