Jakarta-Kediri Establish Food Security Cooperation

Jakarta Provincial Government and Kediri Regency Government, East Java, have established cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding regarding the development of regional, especially food security and improving public services.
I hope this collaboration will benefit both parties
The signing was held at Balairung, Jakarta City Hall, Friday (5/16). The cooperation is as a form of synergy between regions to strengthen development and improve community welfare.

He hopes this cooperation will provide benefit for both parties and reminded that there should be no room for authority abuse.
"The cooperation must be proper, open, transparent, and provide benefits for both parties," Pramono said.
Pramono added that Kediri Regency has great potential as one of the national rice barns in East Java or almost equal to Karawang. The fertility of the soil in Kediri which is supported by volcanic activity of the mountain is a source of prosperity for the local community.
"I hope this collaboration will benefit both parties," Pramono added.
At the same moment, Pramono also offered Kediri Regency to learn Jakarta Kini (JAKI) application in order to improve public services and Regional-Owned Enterprises management.
Kediri Regent, Hanindhito Himawan Pramana hoped the cooperation can provide mutual benefits. Kediri Regency is also committed to evaluate various shortcomings, especially in the agricultural sector.
"Food Station Director already told us various sectors that need to be improved," he said.
Hanindhito explained that Kediri Regency's rice surplus as of March 2025 was recorded at 79,176 tons. In addition, he also targeted an increase in the planting area every year.
Kediri Regency Government is also focusing on breaking the chain of extreme poverty in its region. Therefore, he hopes that this cooperation can have a positive impact on improving the welfare of the Kediri community.
"Hopefully this cooperation brings welfare for Kediri residents," he hoped.
