Two Additional Categories Added for MH Thamrin Journalistics Award

This year, the Association of Indonesian Reporters (PWI) Jaya back to hold MH Thamrin Journalistic Award (MHT). There are 2 new categories added in the 40th implementation. As planned, the event will be held at City Hall, on the upcoming August 13.

There are additional categories. This year it's totaled 11 categories. The additional categories are Citizen Journalism and Sport

Head of PWI Jaya, Endang Werdiningsih stated, last year there are only 9 categories on the award. But, this year 2 categories will be added thus it is totaled 11 categories.

"There are additional categories. This year it's totaled 11 categories. The additional categories are Citizen Journalism and Sport," said Endang, after he met with Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama, Friday (7/3).

While for the other categories competed are editorial, photo, caricature, general service, public service articles, television broadcasting, radio broadcasting, online, and infotainment features.

She added her party has cooperated with the professional judges for the annual event this year. There are 3 judge categories taken that is PWI Jaya caretakers, professionals, and academic.

"One of the academic ones taken from University of Indonesia and the other accredited university," he told.

The article assessed is the article which has been published on publication period on June 1, 2014 until May 31, 2015. Reporters can send their own article to PWI Jaya. "We will send letters to some medias to request their article, but the PWI also observes their article actively," he uttered.

The participant can send their work directly to the committee in PWI Jaya office, 4th floor of Prasada Sasana Karya Building, at Jalan Suryopranoto 8, Central Jakarta.
