Ahok: I Will Go to My Hometown & Eat Ketupat

The holiday of Idul Fitri this year seemed to be taken by Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama to return to his hometown which is located in East Belitung. A husband of Veronica Tan admitted, he wanted to eat ketupat (boiled rice wrapped in woven palm leaf pouch) in the land of his birth.

I will go to my hometown. I guess the Idul Fitri is the right moment to eat ketupat, it feels different

Besides that, Ahok acknowledged that he had Muslim brothers who will celebrate Idul Fitri in his hometown. “I will go to my hometown. I guess the Idul Fitri is the right moment to eat ketupat, it feels different,” he exclaimed, City Hall, Monday (7/6).
