Even the city Administration predicts number of newcomers in returning flow this year reach 68,537 people. Its number increases about 3 percent compared with last year.

Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Department (Dukcapil) Edison Sianturi predicts the number of homecomers this year reach 3,616,744 people. While for the returning flow reach 3,685,281 people. "We predict the newcomer this year reach 68,537 people," said Sianturi, Wednesday (7/8).
Based on the experience last year, Dukcapil categorizes newcomers into 3 groups. First one, about 60 percent of newcomers definitely settle in the city. Second one, about 25 percent of newcomers only transit and then settle in some industry areas around Jakarta. While for third one, about 15 percent of newcomers hesitate whether will stay or back to the origin.
