Ahok Instructs Army and Police to Raid Illegal Parking

The existence of illegal parking which is still rampant in the city, makes Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama upset. Hence, the number one man in Jakarta instructed the Army and Police to conduct illegal parking raid.

"We will keep asking the Army/Police to raid illegal parkings," said Ahok, when he became an inspector during muster along with Army/Police in Makodam Jaya Field, Cililitan, East Jakarta, Monday (7/27). The muster was participated by 1,403 joint personnel from Army, Police, and Satpol PP. 

Ahok stated, the illegal parking causing the decline of Regional Revenue (PAD) target from parking retribution sector. The government sees the potential of parking retribution revenue amounted to Rp 1,8 trillion. But so far, it is only reaching Rp 23-25 billion per year. 

City PAD Loss Because of Illegal Luxury Cars

"Regional revenue potential from parking retribution in the city could reach Rp 1,8 trillion per year. But we can only get Rp 23-25 billion. It is because there are many illegal parkings," expressed Ahok. 

He said if the revenue target could be exceeded by Rp 1,8 trillion per year, his side is willing to allocate Rp 200 billion for given field officers who help the raid. 

Jakarta Military Commander, Agus Sutomo stated Jakarta as a model transformation of Indonesia should show togetherness of various elements. Ranging from Jakarta government until Army and Police. They should always be strong in guarding safety of the city. 

"We all hope, such harmony relationship would keep ongoing. As should be known the togetherness is mutual basic modal to establish communication. Thus there are things found in field, it could be solved quickly and correctly," he expressed.
