Fire Anticipation, City Distributed 76 Extinguisher Bicycles

As an anticipation to handle fire, Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department distributed 76 units of bicycle extinguisher to urban villages.

This bicycle is very useful for initial tackling in case of fire whenever the fire truck has yet come to fire scene

Head of Empowerment and Community Participation (Partimas) Division for Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department, Abdul Chair stated, the bicycles are completed with pump machine which function to drain the water. Then, there are two big water tubs on the cart.

“ This bicycle is very useful for initial tackling in case of fire whenever the fire truck has yet come to fire scene ,” he enlightened, Thursday (8/6).

However, his side has also provided 65 portable water and hose carts (pawang geni), 50 portable pumps as well as 69 floating pump motors.

As much as 2,800 of Fire Volunteers Front (Balakar) have also been trained well to operate that tool.

“Such volunteers has proven effectively to tackle small fire scale as it happened in Kebon Bawang Urban Village," he disclosed.
