Through citizen empowerment program for raising environmental caring by developing waste bank, Malaka Urban Village successfully becomes the representative of Duren Sawit Sub-District to participate in Citizens Empowerment Evaluation in East Jakarta 2015.

Through the waste bank in Malaka Sari, the result is cooperative, urban agriculture and composting hall

"The program has been going on since 2010. The influence is on the increase of community welfare and behavior changing for supporting the government regulation, to handle organic or anor ganic waste ," explained Malaka Sari Urban Village Head, Rima Dahlia, Tuesday (8/25).

She uttered, the urban village has 2 winners of Kalpataru at provincial level of Jakarta in 2013 and 2014. They got the appreciation through waste bank program.

"It also can raise motivation of citizens to keep innovating. Through the waste bank in Malaka Sari, the result is cooperative, urban agriculture and composting hall," she disclosed.
