Head of Jakarta Health Department, Koesmedi Priharto stated that his department is drafting regulation to give deterrent effect to those food peddlers who mix dangerous ingredients as preservatives in their products.

Priharto asserted this matter, following with the discovery of formalin in sauce and bread in Jatinegara Barat Flat, when the program of "Ketuk Pintu Layani Dengan Hati" held, last Saturday (9/12).

" We're now drafting gubernatorial regulation, to maintain foods sold in the city. So if there are producers or peddlers who conduct such thing will be sentenced ," he disclosed, Monday (9/14).

With the regulation, he told, there will be sweeping and investigation towards peddlers or producer who use the ingredient.

"So we will sweep first, where are they from. They will be chased, we have gotten the merk and the number," he told.
