An Old Woman Hit by Transjakarta Bus

A 74-years-old woman, Tjhie Njie Boen (74), a resident of RT 11/03, Bali Mester, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, hit by Transjakarta bus on Santa Maria traffic light, Jalan Jatinegara Barat, Wednesday (9/16). Luckily, the victim only got injured on her left temple. 

But the victim was still hit as he had swerved to the right

The incident occurred when she was going home from picking up her grandchild at school. When she crossed the road at 11 AM while holding her grandchild, Transjakarta bus B 7052 IS came and instantly hit her. Luckily, the bus driver Sophian (41) had lessen his speed thus the victim saved. 

"Coincidentally, the bus's speed was low and the driver had brake. But the victim was still hit as he had swerved to the right," said Transjakarta Unit, Indra (27). 

3 Accident Cases, Transjakarta Contract will Be Revoked

Traffic Accident Officer for East Jakarta Traffic Unit, Aiptu Sigit BP stated that the police officers are still investigating the accident. Currently, the bus driver and some witnesses had been investigated.

"The victim then rushed to the Premiere Hospital for medical treatment. She was unconscious and getting injured on her head," he explained.
