SKPD Obligated to Supervise No Smoking Area

The Jakarta Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD) instructed Regional Working Unit (SKPD) to participate supervising the policy of No Smoking Area (KDM). This is because it cannot be done only by one unit.

The supervision is not realized only by BPLHD, but related technical SKPD which give the permit and conduct guidance of production business, should also participate

According to Andi Baso Mappapoelondro, Head of Jakarta Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD), he party will hold a coordination meeting for taking action against buildings violating KDM.

"The supervision is not realized only by BPLHD, but related technical SKPD which give the permit and conduct guidance of production business, should also participate," he voiced, Wednesday (9/16).

Non-Smoking Area will Be Applied in Pari Island

He explained that the SKPD in question are mayor, Satpol PP and Tourism and Culture Department. It was been set on Gubernatorial Regulation No.50/2012 on Guidance of Implementation, Development, Supervision, and Enforcement for No Smoking Area.

He assessed, lately his party has given a warning towards Senayan Plaza Management and one of its outlets. The reason is, they did not apply KDM.
