North Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department still needs more installation officers (PPI) who serve to check street light. Based on the latest data, the current number is only 17 officers, where they have to check 54,000 points of street light .

“Ideally, 54,000 points of street light should be checked by 130 officers, instead of 17 officers,” said Tuti Kurnia, Head of North Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-Department, Monday (9/28).

To fulfil the ideal quota, her sub-department to recruit more officers in the upcoming November-December 2015.

Later on, the new officer would be under coordination of civil servant in each sub-district.

“In future, we will order them to routinely patrol, collect data, etc. By doing so, I hope all street lights could operate well in future,” she hoped.
