Luxury Residential & Apartment Obligued to Self-manage Waste

The apartment and luxury residential in West Jakarta should have started doing their own waste management. Moreover, it aims to create a positive way to transform trash into economic value.

Head of West Jakarta Cleanliness Sub-Department, Sarifudin conveyed his sub-department is going to make waste management business to business. Therefore, trash management in apartment and luxury residential can be managed by private sector.

“It must have a systematic concept and system. They must manage their own waste. We just make the regulation,” he uttered, Friday (10/23).

North Jakarta to Add More Waste Banks

Sarifudin added the system cannot be realized in a short time, thus there should be socialization and working hard.

“That’s why, I told you make the waste bank,” he asserted.

Separately, about 1,574 tons of waste produced in West Jakarta from 8 sub-districts. From that number, the most waste contributor is Tambora Sub-District with 300 tons of waste per day.
