39 Public and Goods Transports Ticketed

As many as 26 public transports, 12 goods transportation vehicles, and a truck were ticketed in a raid held by West Jakarta Transportation Department on Jalan Tubagus Angke, Thursday (6/19). After made dossier (BAP), all violators must follow traffic violation trial in West Jakarta State Court.

According to Head of West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Supervision and Control Section, Imam Slamet, the raid is conducted to check the completeness of vehicle’s licenses, such as driving license (SIM), vehicle road worthiness (KIR), driver’s identity card (KPP), member’s identity card (KPA), and supervision card (KPS).

From tens of vehicles ticketed, two Kopaja buses had to be grounded in Rawa Buaya Bus Terminal because their KIR licenses have expired. Moreover, their physical completeness is also troubled.
“Those two Kopaja buses are not worthy to operate and could harm passenger’s safety. That’s why we grounded them,” explained Slamet.
