June 27-30, Gebyar Wisata dan Budaya Nusantara 2019 event is held at Exhibition Hall A, Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan, Central Jakarta. In this chance, Thousand Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-department (Sudinparbud) socializes its tourist destinations and gives tourism packages promotion to the visitors.

"We want to promote our tourist destinations and tourism packages for inhabitant islands and resort islands," said Thousand Islands Sudinparbud Head, Cucu Ahmad Kurnia, Friday (6/28).

This event has been held since 2003 and participated by all tourism regions in Indonesia. Through this event, government wants to promote local tourism and support its development by introducing regional tourist attractions to the visitors and encourage more Indonesian people to visit local tourist attractions.

His side also invites travel agents from Thousand Islands in this event since they are considered more communicative in promoting Thousand Island tourism to the visitors.

"We also display our local products to the visitors," he added.
