PAM Jaya Distributes 1.8 Million Liters of Clean Water to Citizens

We expect that the amount of clean water distribution will continue to grow, as the intensity of rain in Jakarta is still low

The city-owned tap water company PAM Jaya has distributed around 1,833,000 liters of clean water to Jakarta people living in North, West and East Jakarta.

PAM Jaya President Director Priyatno Bambang Hernowo said North Jakarta receives the most clean water, followed by West and East Jakarta.

"Until Sunday (11.24), our men were still shipping water to those cities," he expressed, Tuesday (11/26).

His side has noted that there are 28,220 people from 7,184 households from 20 urban villages that across 8 sub-districts in North Jakarta, West Jakarta and East Jakarta who have enjoyed clean water distributed by PAM Jaya with its partners.

"We expect that the amount of clean water distribution will continue to grow, as the intensity of rain in Jakarta is still low," he expressed.

The water operator itself has 41 tanks that are stored in several places. But, to distribute clean water, they have prepared around 10 fleets.

"That doesn't include cars from the forestry agency and the regional disaster management agency (BPBD)," he stated.
