Refugee Services in Pengadegan Get Citizens' Appreciation

Services to the flood victims living in Pengadegan Urban Village, Pancoran, South Jakarta, precisely in the refugee camps received appreciation. Until now, 1,092 people had returned to their homes.

Anis (43), one of citizens in RT 07/01 Pengadegan Urban Village who fled in GOR, Pancoran Sub-district, thanked the government for the quick response.

"We really appreciate this service that provides a refugee camp, thus we are not confused as our house cannot be occupied yet," he expressed, Wednesday (1/8).

Similar statement also came out from Dewi (49). She expressed that public kitchen in the location was very helpful in providing food for refugee camps.

"Alhamdulillah, the food here is delicious and we do not feel deprived here. Assistance such as mattresses, mats, electrical terminals and blankets has been provided," she stated.

Nevertheless, they still needed public toilet. "There are only toilets here, moreover refugees reach 400 people. So we need more toilets," he stated.

In Pengadegan area, there were six points of camps. Based on the data, there are 2,236 refugees on Wednesday (1/1) and 1,092 refugees who have returned to their homes on Wednesday (1/8).
