Basuki Leads Jakarta as Acting Governor

Basuki Tjahaja Purnama is automatically lead Jakarta in form of acting governor (Plt) after Joko Widodo's resignation as Jakarta Governor is approved through Presidential Decree (Keppres).
The inauguration should be held on November 16
The Acting of Head of Regional Head and International Cooperation (KDH-KLN), Heru Budi Hartono, said the decree was issued yesterday, October 16. Meanwhile, the inauguration of Basuki should be a month after the decree issuance.
"The inauguration should be held on November 16," Heru said, Friday (10/17).
West Jakarta Needs More RTHHeru added that the inauguration is detailed in Lieu of Law (Perpu) No 1/2014. There are alternatives for the grace, but the latest is a month.
"We has conducted consultation to some experts regarding this regulation. It is hoped the inauguration runs well," he added.
The decree of Jokowi resignation, explained that Basuki T. Purnama as Vice Governor serves as Acting Jakarta Governor. It is aimed to avoid leadership emptiness.
