Due to many land lots have not been acquisitioned yet, the dredging of Rawa Kendal Reservoir, Rorotan Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-District, North Jakarta, has stopped for a month.
But, our work has accomplished this year’s target, which is 7 hectares with depth 2.5 meters
As known, the construction of Rawa Kendal Reservoir, which planned to be built as wide as 50 hectares, was started in April. Until now, only 7 hectares of land have been dredged with depth 2.5 meters. But since the location of the 21 hectares of land is scattered, the construction work becomes hindered.
Head of Jakarta Public Works Department Supplies and Equipment Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), Aris Nandhika, said the dredging is stopped because there are many land lots have not been acquisitioned. From 50 hectares of land, only 21 hectares of land have been acquisitioned.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Administration Secretary, Junaedi, admitted that his party cannot confirm yet about the continuation of land acquisition process. According to him, the mayor, in this matter, only acts as the project’s person in charge if asked.
“Until now, Jakarta Public Works Department as the budget holder still has not coordinated. In principle, we will certainly help if we were asked,” he asserted.
