Food Inspection Carried Out in Kelapa Gading

Jakarta Industry, Trade, Cooperative, and Small Micro and Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency collaborated with Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) and Polda Metro Jaya to carry out food inspection at retail shopping center in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
Today, there are 3 teams deployed to do food inspection in North Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta
Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Secretary, Etty Syartika stated, it is a series of food inspection which implemented from Monday (12/14) to Wednesday (12/16). Apart from North Jakarta, food inspection was also carried out in South Jakarta and West Jakarta.
"Today, there are 3 teams deployed to do food inspection in North Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta," she informed, Monday (12/14).
KPKP Ensures to Hold Food Inspection in Markets, Including Online TradersDuring food inspection, her side found products that were not proper for distribution, due to damaged packaging, expiration of distribution permits, and product variants that don't have distribution permits. Including parcel products that didn't provide information about product's expiration and distribution permit validity period.
"We found some product that are not feasible for distribution such as biscuits, milk, sardines, and canned fruits," she added.
Moreover, her side also found pastry products in parcel which distribution permit had expired two years ago. Those products will be withdrawn to prevent it from being distributed to consumers.
BPOM Jakarta Chairman. Safriansyah explained, his side will trace products without distribution permits up to the producers. But, his side should first cooperate with BPOM in other provinces to ensure product distribution licensing process.
"Earlier, we found manufactured frozen food products which one of the product variants didn't have distribution license. While other products already have distribution permits," she conveyed.
