South Jakarta IPSI Holds Virtual Martial Arts Championship

South Jakarta Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) together with Central PB IPSI and National Sports and Youth Empowerment Center held virtual Pencak Silat Kartini Cup II National Championship.

This virtual championship is the first in Indonesia

Public relation division organizing committee, Richard Achmad Sentausa said, this championship was held from Friday (4/2) to Sunday (4/4). There were 2,500 participants from various pencak silat clubs throughout Indonesia who participated in it.

"This virtual championship is the first in Indonesia," he stated, Monday (4/5).

Thousand Islands will Hold Martial Arts Festival in November

This competition, which divided in festival, empty-handed, and single categories, was held to find outstanding athletes from each provinces.

"It is also held as preparation for National Sports Week (PON) event for pencak silat (martial arts) branch," he mentioned.
