East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency Head, Wahyudi Rudianto mentioned, his side managed to collect only 6 cubic meters waste on New Year's Eve.

According to him, the most waste was collected from Pasar Rebo Flyover. The type of garbage collected was from fireworks, plastic bottles and cups, and food wrappers.
In this cleaning work, his side deployed around 500 personnel equipped with 12 small typer fleets, 10 sweepers, 12 panther crossing vehicles, and 10 motor carts.
"In 2 years of pandemic and PPKM implementation, people's activities have been decreased, as well as the volume of waste," he added.
He informed that in years before the pandemic, volume of waste on New Year's Eve could reach 300-400 tons.
