2,716 Cars in North Jakarta Undergo Emission Tests in Three Days

As many as 2,716 gasolines and diesel-fueled cars in North Jakarta had undergone emission tests from June 28 to 30, 2022.

This free emission test is part of the Urban Air Quality Evaluation (EKUP)

North Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency Head Achmad Hariadi mentioned the free emission tests were carried out in three locations, namely in front of JIExpo Kemayoran on Jalan Benyamin Sueb, in front of SPBG Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, and Pluit Reservoir area on Jalan Pluit Timur Raya.

"This free emission test is part of the Urban Air Quality Evaluation (EKUP)," he stated, Friday (7/1).

North Jakarta to Hold Vehicle Emission Tests in Three Locations

Of the 2,716, as many as 881 cars underwent emission tests on the first day, followed by 897 cars on the second day, and 933 cars on the third day. They consisted of 2,332 gasoline-fueled cars and 384 diesel-fueled cars.

As a result, 2,225 gasoline-fueled cars passed emission tests and 107 failed. While 267 diesel-fueled cars passed the test and 117 cars failed.

"Vehicles that failed the test must carry out maintenance and conduct emission test again at the automotive workshop," he concluded.
