"Until the end of January 2023, we targeted planting around 30,000 to 40,000 trees," he said, Friday (1/6).

He explained that the shade trees planted type Mahoni, Angsana, and Tabebuya, while productive trees type Durian, Kedondong, Mango, Kelor, Breadfruit, and Timbul.

He even instructed local urban village heads to plant trees that are characteristic of the region. For instance, if it is on Jalan Mangga, it is better to plant mango trees thus the harvest is the same.

"I've directed urban village heads to plant trees for uniformity," he added.

He hoped that this planting could protect and preserve nature, as well as be a container for water absorption.

"Hopefully, it can make West Jakarta more beautiful and fresh," he concluded.
