The East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency once again planted thousands of trees under Becakayu Toll Road, Jalan Laksamana Malahayati, Duren Sawit Sub-district.
This planting is targeted to be completed in March
East Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifin expressed the tree planting was carried out more than five kilometers long, starting from Caman area on the border of Bintara, Bekasi with Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit.
"This planting is targeted to be completed in March. What we plant is shade and productive trees every day," he expressed, Friday (1/6).
Greening Under Becakayu Toll Road Keeps Being IntensifiedThe types of trees planted were 100 trees of Ketapang Kencana, 100 trees of Tanjung, 150 trees of Tabebuya, 5,000 trees of Pilo Kuning, 5,000 trees of Gambir Jasmine, and 10,000 trees of Janjuang Kribo.
"We send 100 personnel of green task forces to the location. They get support from the Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, Bina Marga, KPKP, PPSU, Environment Sub-agencies, and Satpol PP," he continued.
He added greening under the toll road would be intensified. Moreover, it is also one of the access points from Bekasi to Jakarta/
"This is done to make it more green, beautiful, and comfortable," he stated.
