Cleanup Action, Kwitang Residents Collect Four Cubic Meters of Waste

Residents living in RT 13/06, Kwitang, Senen, Central Jakarta took part in a cleanup action to clean their environment. As a result, four cubic meters of waste was successfully transported after being sorted.

The collected waste is immediately sorted, then thrown into Bantargebang

Kwitang Urban Village Head, Rama Permana Bahri said the cleanup involved 30 residents and 8 personnel of PPSU.

"We also get support from a dump truck belongs to the Central Jakarta Environment Sub-agency and a motor cart belongs to PPSU," he expressed, Saturday (10/7).

He explained it was focused on the RT 13 area with activities including cleaning culverts, neighborhood roads, and residents' yards.

"The collected waste is immediately sorted, then thrown into Bantargebang," he explained.

RW 06 Chairwoman, Kwitang, Sari Idha Nur Sofa added it is a routine agenda every weekend.

Besides creating a clean and healthy environment, it was also deemed to be able to strengthen a friendship between residents and urban villages.

"It can also always lead to discussion and input from residents. So, our relationship gets closer," she closed.
