Acting Governor Presents Appreciation to 27th National STQH Champion

Jakarta became the 2nd overall winner of the 27th National Quran and Hadith Tilawatil Selection (STQH) 2023 in Jambi.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono, expressed his appreciation to the Jakarta caravan for making this achievement.
“I congratulate all the 27th National STQH champions. Hopefully, next year, we can improve our championship again. Of course, the People's Welfare Assistant will keep supporting this activity next year, and through Bazis and the support of the Religion Ministry Regional Office, what is missing can be added and perfected next year," he expressed.

He hoped that the winner could be an example for the young generation in Jakarta to like reading the Koran. Not only that, it was hoped that this achievement would spark enthusiasm among the Jakarta caravans so they could prepare themselves better for the next National STQH event.
At the same activity, he also expressed his appreciation to the 12 mosque caretakers, locally known as Marbut for performing the Umrah. This program initiated by the Jakarta Government together with the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) is a form of government concern and appreciation for the Marbut who have served, maintained, and prospered in places of worship.
"Congratulations, I hope you will be given convenience in carrying out the Umrah pilgrimage persistently as well as possible. "Hope this appreciation will be a form of increasing the mental and spiritual development of the people in Jakarta," he explained.
Assistant Regional Secretary for People's Welfare, Widyastuti uttered Jakarta had won 2nd General Champion out of 34 provinces that participated in the 27th National STQH. From 20 participants, 11 won the best championship and hope.
"Thanks to the Acting Governor's support and motivation, they succeeded in winning 2nd overall champion. So, besides maintaining the title of champion, they have also improved in terms of achievements," she added.
Mandar (66), a Marbut from the Nurul Huda Grand Mosque on Tidung Island, Seribu Islands, expressed his emotion because he was chosen as one of the Marbut who will depart for the Umrah pilgrimage by the Jakarta Government. He did not expect to receive such special appreciation directly from the Acting Governor.
“To the Acting Governor, thank you for giving me and my Marbut friends a gift for Umrah. This is the first time I've been to City Hall and met him. Just saw and talked directly with him. Even more happy and touched, I was given a gift for Umrah. It has been my happiness during the 13 years of serving as Marbut," he admitted.
