7,053 Travelers Depart from Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal

The number of arrivals reached 21,121 passengers

Many residents use the Christmas and New Year holidays to return to their hometowns. It can be seen at the Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal, East Jakarta, as many as 7,053 homecoming travelers departed from December 19 to 25.

Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Head, Yulza Ramadhani said the 7,053 travelers departed from the terminal on 272 AKAP buses to several areas in West Java, Central Java, and Sumatra.

"The peak of homecoming flow occurred on Sunday (12/24) which reached 1,536 passengers on 146 AKAP buses," he expressed, Tuesday (12/26).

After Christmas, he explained, the volume of passengers returning home would begin to decline. However, it was possible that it would increase again just before New Year.

Besides the homecoming flow, at the same time, the number of passenger arrivals at the terminal was also quite high.

"The number of arrivals reached 21,121 passengers on 2,457 AKAP buses, from December 19 to 15," he explained.

He added most passengers were students who were studying outside the city and returning to Jakarta for the holidays.

"There are also residents from outside Jakarta who come to enjoy the Christmas holiday in the Jakarta area and its surrounding areas," he added.
