Security Post on Pramuka Island is Tightened Ahead of New Year

Joint personnel from three pillars on Panggang Island are tightening security for the Christmas holiday season and the upcoming New Year holiday at the Pramuka Island Security Post, North Seribu Islands.

It is done to prevent street crimes, robberies, and other criminal acts

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin said during the Christmas holiday season, the security and order situation in the community was conducive.

He explained there were at least more than 20 joint personnel from the police, army (TNI), Satpol PP, FKDM to LMK who continued to strengthen synergy and prevent criminal acts.

"It is done to prevent street crimes, robberies, and other criminal acts," he expressed, Thursday (12/28).

Moreover, Pramuka Island is one of the residential areas where every week or long holiday is always busy with visitors, both from outside the city and abroad.

Post Security was deemed capable of improving emergency response to facilitate access for officers to hold security and also community services.

"Hopefully, it creates a sense of safety and comfort for visitors on Panggang Island," he hoped.

North Seribu Islands Sub-district Satpol PP Head, Edi Syahrudi urged residents to celebrate New Year's Eve appropriately to maintain security and order.

The post itself was alerted for 24 hours. Not only on Pramuka Island, but was also set up in five other sub-districts.

"We continue to urge tourists to celebrate New Year's Eve with positive activities and of course happily," he stated.
