4,236 Police Personnel will Be Deployed to Secure KAA

As many as 4,236 police will be deployed to secure Asia Africa Summit (KAA) which take place in Jakarta, on upcoming 19 to 23 April.

Public Relations Head of Metro Jaya Police, Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul said, the personnel consist of 1,210 polres, 330 Siaga Mapolres, 280 Siaga Mapolda, and 506 Center Force officers.

Welcoming KAA, City Parks BeautifiedMartinus revealed, the thousands personnel will be placed on the prone point, such as at pedestrian bridge (JPO) and flyover along Soekarno Hatta and Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport until the event location.
"We also secure 18 accommodation locations of KAA participant," he added.
Martinus told, not only deploy 4,236 personnel, Metro Jaya police will also deploy 150 special police who have martial skills and expert in shooting. The special personnel will be alerted to secure 109 delegations and the heads of KAA participating countries.
"The special police will become security officer of the state guest," he uttered.
Martinus continued, the 150 special police have been trained since last February. The training is not only about the martial arts and shooting, but also how to evacuate KAA participants while dangerous situation.
"The special police will also sterilize the route of KAA participants’ departure to the event location and to the inn," he said.
As information, the celebration of 60 Years KAA will be held on April 19 to 23 in Jakarta and 24 April in Bandung.
