Humanitarian Action at JIS Has Collected 2,157 Bags of Blood

Two days of blood donation activities at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta have succeeded in collecting 2,157 bags of blood, Wednesday (3/27).

Let's do a humanitarian action by donating blood to others

North Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Chairman, Rijal, stated the number of registrants reached 2,730 people. However, after passing through health screening, some did not meet the qualifications.

"To donate blood, there are stages or procedures that must be followed. So, not all registrants can donate blood," he expressed, Thursday (3/28).

60 Residents in Sunter Agung Donate Blood

Until 5.30 PM, he explained, there were already 450 donors registered.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), these three days went smoothly. Besides staple food packages, we also provide food and drinks for breaking the fast," he explained.

Kelapa Gading Timur Resident, Fitryalestari (37), admitted he regularly participated in blood charity events held by North Jakarta PMI.

"Alhamdulillah, even though you are fasting, you can pass the health check stage and can donate blood," she uttered.

She also felt happy because he was given a basic food package which really helped meet his daily needs during this blood donation.

"This staple food is very useful, there is rice, cooking oil, sugar, and biscuits. Let's do a humanitarian action by donating blood to others," she added.

One of the Rorotan residents, Fatmawati admitted she was very enthusiastic about participating in the blood donation initiated by North Jakarta PMI.

"This is the first for me, my friend happened to invite me. I often register but the health check-up keeps failing. Alhamdulillah, I passed all procedures in this holy month," he stated.
