Closed for 2 Hours, Jalan Sudirman Reopened

After being closed for approximately 2 hours to provide road access for the state guest of 60th Asia-Africa Summit to go from their hotel to Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta. The Metro Jaya Police reopened Jalan Sudirman for public.

Jakarta Police Traffic Directorate education and engineering unit head Adj. Sr. Comr. Warsinem told the road reopened promptly at 9:15 AM for public. "All state guests had arrived at the location so we reopened the road," told Warsinem, Wednesday (4/2).

As a result, all private vehicles and public transport now can get through on Jalan Sudirman, Jalan MH Thamrin, and Jalan Gatot Subroto after being halted in the first phase of road closing at 6.30 AM to 9.30 AM.

Previously while the road was closed, only some of delegation cars were visible through the road, such as Cambodia, Angola, Brunei Darussalam, and Zimbabwe that escorted by the police.

Moreover, the Police, Military, and Satpol PP also guard at every street corner to inform residents not pas pass the road. The TransJakarta bus' operations also stopped during the road closing that will be carried out for three times.

The second road closing will be held at 5.00 PM to 6.30 PM for 90-minutes to give access for all state heads to go back from the JCC to the hotel. Then, the third road closing will be held at 7.00 PM. to 10.00 PM. At that time, the state heads will go to the State Palace to attend Gala Dinner with President Joko Widodo and return from the Palace at 10 PM.
