JFFF Visitors Entertained by Keroncong Songs

Visitors who visited the 2015 Jakarta Food & Fashion Festival (JFFF) in La Piazza, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, Saturday (5/16), entertained with Keroncong Tugu Orchestra from Cafrinho studio.

Kerconcong music is identical with old people, that's why we attempt to introduce it to young people through young composers

At that time, the Cafrinho studio presented 15 original songs to the audience. They are Oud Batavia, Keroncong Moresco, Nurlela (Bing Slamet), Selendang Mayang, and Schoon Ver Van Jou.

Besides keroncong songs, they also combined modern songs with keroncong-taste, such as Aku Memilih Setia (I Choose to be Faithful) by Fatin, Cari Jodoh (Seeking a Life Partner) by Wali band, Jodoh Pasti Bertemu (We Shall Meet If It's Meant To Be) by Afgan, etc.

“We also presented the best love, Bara-bere and Dirijek songs,” expressed Chairman of Cafrinho Studio, Guido Quiko.

Through such performance over 45 minutes, he hoped, the festival visitors could appreciate more traditional music and Betawi culture, especially young people.
