Road Collapsed in Jagakarsa Neglected

Four wheeled vehicles cannot crossing Jalan Gardu RT 10/02, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta since the road was collapsed. There is no reparation until now. As a result, only motorbike that still able crosses it.

It's already a month and getting worse in 10 days ago, but still no action

The collapsed road location is near SMAN (State senior high school) 109 Jakarta. The road is collapsed because the soil near the cliff was collapsed.

The collapsed road have 1 meter width with 10 meters length. While cliff height is steep enough or about 15 meters. The cliff is directly overhanging to Ciliwung River’s edge that makes the road becomes very dangerous.

"It's already a month and getting worse in 10 days ago, but still no action. Thus, we close the road for four wheeled vehicles," said Fadillah (36), a resident of RT 10/02 Srengseng Sawah, Wednesday (6/4).

The cracked road spots is creeping to almost half of the road. "The four wheeled vehicles should turn around to Jalan Shibi. During rush hour, it's heavily traffic," he added.

 

Jagakarsa Sub-district Head, Asril, admitted he has provided coordination with Jakarta Great Regional Hall of Ciliwung Cisadane (BBWSCC) to start the plaster reparation. The road repair is planned in this short time.

“We have deliver reparation request in leadership meeting few times ago,” he explained.

According to him, the collapsed spot is a location that prone of erosion because besides it has cliff shaped land contours, no hard stemmed vegetation makes the soil is easily slide and collapse. "The land was collapsed once when heavy rain in February 2014. At that time, BBWSCC had repair it with installing bagwark, but now collapsed again," Asril added.
