Jakarta Little Tokyo Festival or popularly know as Ennichisai will be kicked out this weekend. In this eighth year, it will take the theme of "Challenge".

South Jakarta Tourism and Culture Sub-dept. Head, Nursyam said the event would take place on Saturday (5/13) until Sunday (5/14). It will be staged in Blok M area, Kebayoran Baru.

According to him, Ennichisai is an event that will display a mix of Japanese and Betawi cultures. It is because there will be two stages that is for traditional and modern culture.

"We're collaborating with Japanese culture. We will display from Betawi, Jakarta Abnon, ondel-ondel Betawi effigies, palang pintu (a door-bolting tradition), gambang kromong (Betawi musical ensemble) and welcome dance," he stated, Wednesday (5/10).

Nursyam uttered such annual event is very helpful to promote Blok M area as one of entertainment tour sites in South Jakarta. Besides local visitors, foreign tourists will also come to enjoy the event.

"This is to promote Blok M area as the main tour site destination in South Jakarta. Because more than 100,000 people will come to enjoy the event," he closed.
