Thousands of Visitors Flocked to Monas

On the 2nd day of Eid ul Fitr, Jakarta residents and its surrounding area keep flocking to National Monument (Monas), Central Jakarta. They have crowded the one of favorite recreational sites since Tuesday (7/29) morning.

Hariyani stated that the Monas had been closed on the first day of Eid ul Fitr for cleaning process. "The closing is conducted because it coincides on a schedule of cleaning and checking," she told.

Cleaning Done, Monas Re-Opened for Eid ul Fitr Holiday

Based on the data, the number of visitors on Tuesday morning until afternoon is reaching 11,034 people. "Then for visitors go up the top of Monas reached 1,901 people," she detailed.

She admitted that the number of visitors in Eid ul Fitr this year is remarkable. Last year, the number was only 4,000 people. "Besides domestic, the Monas is also crowded by foreign tourists," she exclaimed.

She is optimistic the number of visitor would keep creeping up during Eid ul Fitr holiday.
