As a result, there are only few people know about PIK crafts. So, it is not a surprise if the merchants’ income is declining,” he uttered, Wednesday (10/1).
Cakung, Center of Sacrificial Animal PeddlersAccording to Rosidi, his party had proposed for PIK promotion facility to East Jakarta Administration and Jakarta Provincial government, but there is no positive response until now.
“Minus in the number of buyers coming to shop in PIK has made a lot of merchants closed their stalls. The number of merchants is declining from previous year due to lack of promotion and the absence of exhibition place,” he stated.
For information, in PIK Cakung there are four craft sectors, namely leather industry that produces shoes, bags and T-shirts, garment industry such as convection, metal industry with products like spare parts, and food industry.
