By End of November, Channel Normalization Work on Jalan Danau Jempang Completed

The Tanah Abang Sub-district's Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, Central Jakarta is normalizing the water channel alongside Jalan Danau Jempang, RT 06/04, Bendungan Hilir Urban Village, on Tuesday (11/9).

It is targeted to be complete by the end of this month

Tanah Abang Sub-district's SDA Executing Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari said, the total length of the channel being normalized reaches 106 meters. It is carried out to accommodate water in large quantities when heavy rain pours.

"Previously, it had 0.3 centimeters width with 0.3 meters height. And now it is widened to catch more water," she expressed.

Channel Normalization on Jalan Cempaka has Touched 70 Percent

She continued, it was widened to 0.4 meters by 0.7 meters, as well as attached with u-ditch and river stones. Currently the work has reached 58 meters or reached 50 percent.

"It is targeted to be complete by the end of this month. After this is done, we ask residents not to litter, especially into channels," he stressed.
