Mid-March, Retention Pond Construction on Jalan Pegangsaan Dua Completed

The North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency reports the progress of retention pond construction, locally known as kolam olakan on Jalan Pegangsaan Dua, RW 02 Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta has reached 80 percent until the first week of March.

Kelapa Gading Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Citrin Indriyanti stated, the construction that has started in January would be built in the size of 15x4 meters with 1.5 meters in depth.

"Retention pond is built to overcome inundation on Jalan Pegangsaan Dua, starting from PLN Connection Substation (GIS) to Jalan Raya Bekasi," she mentioned, Saturday (3/5).

She admitted that the work was expected to be completed by the end of February. However, it took longer than expected  due to the condition in the field and frequent rains.

"We're trying to finish it in mid-March. If the weather is clear, I am optimistic that it can be realized as expected," she closed.
