Commemorating May Day, Central Jakarta Distributes 660 Food Packages to Workers

Today, the Central Jakarta Government distributed 660 staple food packages from BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Employment and Social Security) to workers from Central Jakarta Tripartite Cooperation Institution (LKS Tripartite)

Staple food packages are distributed to workers in the context of May Day

Central Jakarta Deputy Mayor Irwandi said the food aid distribution was carried out in commemoration of World Labor Day on May 1. He hoped that the aid could ease the burden on workers ahead of Eid.

"Staple food packages are distributed to workers in the context of May Day. Today, we symbolically hand over seven food packages to the workers," he mentioned, Tuesday (4/26).

660 Workers Receive Food Assistance at West Jakarta Mayor's Office

On the other hand, Central Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy (Nakertransgi) Sub-agency Head Fidiyah Rochim explained that the aid was distributed through the trade union federation which was a part of Central Jakarta LKS Tripartite.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Gambir BPJS Employment Head Chairul Aryanto expected the aid to be utilized well by the beneficiaries, especially to meet their needs during the Eid holiday.
