Sawah Besar Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yusuf Sumardani disclosed the existing channel on Jalan Kartini 3 Dalam was in a damaged condition and could not function optimally.

According to him, the repair was taken up to 150 meters long. The broken material was replaced with a 40x40x120-centimeter u-ditch.
"The progress work has touched 110 meters or 75 percent so far," he said.
The repair involved 15 personnel using crowbar, hoes, and sacks.
"Our target to complete it is one week ahead," he explained.
After it was repaired, it was expected that locals could maintain the channel together. "This is for convenience's sake," he stressed.
