MSMEs Get Halal Certification Socialization in Panggang Island Urban Village

The Panggang Island Urban Village, in collaboration with the Seribu Islands Religion Ministry, is conducting socialization on halal certification and improving the quality of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

We assist them in preparing the documents to take part in halal certification

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin said this activity aimed to introduce and improve the knowledge of MSMEs on Pramuka Island and Panggang Island regarding halal certification.

"We also want to encourage potential industries in Panggang Island Urban Village to register and obtain halal certification," he expressed, at the location, Island Regency Plaza, Wednesday (5/8).

BI Representative Continues Halal Certification Program This Year

He explained this halal certification could have a positive impact on product sales value, improve consumer confidence and product competitiveness in the global market.

"The central government has also required MSMEs to obtain halal certification for free until next October. This opportunity must be utilized as well as possible," he explained.

He expressed his gratitude to the extension workers from the Seribu Islands Ministry of Religion Office who had provided assistance to the residents.

"Hopefully, MSMEs in Seribu Islands, especially in Panggang Island Urban Village can progress and develop further," he added.

In the meantime, the socialization was attended by 20 MSMEs in Panggang Island Urban Village.

"We assist them in preparing the documents to take part in halal certification. They are very enthusiastic," he uttered.

He added, in Seribu Islands, as many as 151 MSMEs already had Halal Certificates. Then, other certificates for 50 MSMEs were still in under issuance process.

"They also have a Business Permit Number (NIB). We want MSMEs in Seribu Islands who operate in the culinary sector to have halal certification," he uttered.

The action above received appreciation from one of the food and beverage sellers on Pramuka, Yeni (48).

"My halal certificate has been issued, and the process is not difficult. I'm increasingly confident in promoting business products in the form of light processed fish snacks, hopefully it will grow further," she admitted.
