North Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) took a firm action against vehicles that parked in forbidden areas. In January 11-March 18 period, 617 four-wheeled vehicles were towed because parking on the roads and sidewalks.

North Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Harlem Simanjuntak stated, towing was carried out in several locations throughout 6 sub-districts in North Jakarta.

"We collaborate with TNI/Police in this activity. Sudinhub deploys 3-4 officers and 6 towing trucks. While each sub-districts deploy 1 tow truck and 3 personnel," he informed, Friday (3/19).

According to him, his side continues socializing, monitoring, educating, and carrying out operation on the road. It is done to enforce Law (UU) No. 22/2009 about Road Traffic and Transportation and Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 5/2014 about Transportation.

He urged road users not to neglect safety, be orderly in traffic, follow traffic signs and be orderly in administration by bringing complete vehicle documents.

"We also remind people to park their vehicles in designated place. Not to park in prohibited places, such as sidewalk and road side," he asserted.
